O renomado astrofísico Stephen Hawking faleceu essa madrugada, aos 76 anos de idade. Segundo seus filhos, ele teria partido pacificamente durante o sono em sua casa em Cambridge, na Inglaterra.

Além de ser a maior referência em seu campo de atuação, o cientista já fez algumas participações em seriados de TV e filmes e é muito querido pelo meio artístico. Isso fica claro nas reações abaixo.

A atriz Kaley Cuoco conheceu Hawking durante sua participação em The Big Bang Theory e prestou homenagem a ele por meio de uma postagem no Instagram. "Foi realmente uma honra trabalhar com o incrível Stephen Hawking. Ele nos fez rir e nós o fizemos rir."

Eddie Redmayne, que viveu o físico em A Teoria de Tudo, levando o Oscar e o Bafta pelo papel, também se manifestou: “Nós perdemos uma mente verdadeiramente linda, um cientista impressionante e o homem mais engraçado que eu tive o prazer de conhecer. Meu amor e sentimentos estão com essa família extraordinária”, disse o ator em comunicado à revista People.

Poucos sabem, mas Benedict Cumberbatch também interpretou Hawking. Foi em 2004, em uma produção para TV da BBC. Ele também prestou condolências e transmitiu um comunicado à imprensa dizendo se sentir “grato por ter conhecido um homem tão incrível, cuja profundidade pode ser encontrada em seu trabalho e na comunicação deste”.
“Eu vou sentir falta das nossas margaritas, mas erguerei uma para as estrelas para celebrar sua vida e a luz reveladora que você emitiu tão brilhantemente para o resto de nós. Você foi e é uma inspiração para mim e para milhões ao redor do mundo. Obrigado”, completou o ator.
